Central Haywood  church of Christ

Who are we?

At Central Haywood church of Christ, you will find a warm, loving, family oriented congregation of God’s people. We are not perfect nor will you find us pretending to be perfect. We are real people with real problems. We consider it a great asset to be real because this allows each of us to come together to love and support each other.

At Central Haywood church of Christ, we do not expect perfection from each other. My point is that you will not find this church to be a group of hypocrites looking down on each other and anyone who walks through the doors. If you are broken, have flaws in your life, or just want a better life then this is the church for you. We are a church where it is ok that we are not perfect.

At Central Haywood church of Christ, our goal is to follow Jesus and be like Him. We strive every day to be more like our Savior and follow His teachings. We are constantly striving to grow, personally and as a church; to get stronger in our faith, and to live the teachings of the New Testament.

We are a church that wants to go back to the bible and strive to be, as much as is possible, the church we read about in its pages. For that reason, you will find us to be different from most churches. We are a simple church with a simple worship service. We have A Capella music, weekly communion, the bible as our only guide, weekly bible classes, and biblical preaching that always seeks a book, chapter, or verse for what we believe and practice.

If you are sick and tired of being a part of a church that doesn’t line up with what you read about in the bible, then give us a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised to find a church that simply wants to be Christians. If you are ready to seriously seek a better life than the one you’re living? If you are tired of being looked down on, then listen to the works of Jesus…

Matthew 11:28–30
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

The elders of Central Haywood.
